So the 970 is probably my best bet?

The new AMD 3xx series is coming in just a few months if you can wait.
380X is rumored for Feb, its going to have HBM like the 390X as well as on a 20nm node. Best bang for the buck I'm sure.

Yep, or a used 780 ti, which I would prefer over a 970

This is the card I'm looking at. Cost really isn't too big of an issue (Below 400) so I'm not terribly worried about cost vs performance.
I want to start streaming league and my 7950 runs it awful. I'm looking to get something soon or I would definitely wait.

That's a great card. Can't go wrong with any 970. I saw a 780 ti on r/hardwareswap last week and almost bought it. Its just barely under the 980
Edit: I'll also buy that 7950 off you if you're selling it

My dad is building a new machine so I'll probably give him the card.
So since I'm switching from AMD to Nvidia I need to uninstall the drivers before I swap it out right?

You're missing something very important.

Haven't had the time this week. I'm hoping I can this weekend.

What router did you purchase?
Anyone else impressed by the specs of nVidia's X1 SoC? I'm posting from a nVidia Shield tablet with the K1 and can't imagine needing more power in this form factor; especially within the year.

I gave him my old Linksys N900 since I got an ASUS AC68.
The mobile Maxwells have definitely been a significant step up. Not a big follower of mobile graphics in general, but I'm starting to learn phone/tablet hardware a little more since getting a Nexus 6. I'd been indifferent with iPhones.

I loved my N5 but couldn't do the N6... Too big? We decided on 2nd gen Moto Xs.

I thought it would be too big, especially coming from the tiny iPhone 4s, but now I think I'm hooked on phablets. Might've been a different story coming from a normal sized phone, but I am loving the large screen. Could stand to be narrower, which would make one-handed use a lot easier. I think the Note 4's size is just right for that.

Yeah I can't switch back to anything smaller now, love it.

Hopefully the N7 comes with nVidia's X1, therefore I'm forced to purchase it.

If I play Dragon Age Inquisition having no prior knowledge or experience of past Dragon Age games, will I be totally lost?
