I'm assuming you have the RAM because you didn't list it.
Posted on 11/15/14 at 9:27 am to DoUrden
Are the days of only needing 8 gigs of RAM over? Unless my G15 monitor is off, COD AW routinely pushes my 16 gigs past 50%.
Posted on 11/15/14 at 10:02 am to DoUrden
Not necessarily. Windows allocates more RAM than it needs for background processes. If you only had 8GB, Windows would use less system memory and/or likely allocate more pagefile space for background processes (and you wouldn't notice a difference because they're not actively used programs).

I have 16 and I hit over 60% at times

Remove 8 and see what it does. I bet it scales down accordingly. You should actually look at Windows Task Manager and see how much the game itself is using as well. I never looked when I was playing the campaign.

a little over 6 gigs while resting at the esc screen.

How long does it usually take the overseas monitors to get here, it says it's shipped but delivery any time between now and January?
Posted on 11/17/14 at 1:54 pm to DoUrden
The ones on eBay ship DHL and arrive within two business days. Not sure what Newegg does.

So I didn't pull the trigger right away (real life happens) and now the prices have moved a bit. Full build from above is now $1443. What do you think about swapping out the SSD/Mobo/PSU to those listed below?

Mobo: Gigabyte board is similar for $109 vs $118. The main difference I saw was 4 x 6 Gb/s SATA vs 6 on the MSI. Do I need 6?
SSD: The Transcend ssd is $90 vs $110 for the Crucial, and only slightly less read/write 4kb IOPS: 68,000 vs 70,000. Only 2 reviews on the Transcend ssd, though.. would that make you hesitate on this brand?
PSU: Same price, same brand, same watts, but I noticed the 80+ Gold Capstone is the same price as the 80+ Bronze Hive. Any issues here?

I'll reconfigure the minute you are ready to pull the trigger. Prices change all the time, sometimes within hours.
EDIT: I see the deal on the RAM expired, so that needs to change first and foremost.

My body is ready...and my wallet
Just thinking about which case I want more between the H440 and the R4.

Ok, looking closely at your new build, it looks fine with your alternate choices. The PSU you selected is better than the Hive. I just didn't see that deal when I did your build. I would go with this memory instead: LINK . Cheaper and slightly faster.
As for the SSD, couldn't say whether the Crucial is worth the extra $20. I have zero experience with Transcend. I tend to stick with SSDs from companies that make their own NAND or have very close relationships with a particular factory (Samsung, Toshiba/Sandisk, Crucial, etc), but that doesn't mean whatever is in the Transcend is any worse. I just don't know what's in it, nor do I know anything about the JMicron controller it uses.

I'd get the Transcend before I'd get the Sandisk. Uses a very old controller. Sandforce controllers in general are not my favorite.

Oh, so my recommendation alone wasn't good enough
It's a high-demand cooler. You can get it on ebay right now, if you can somehow figure out how to pay for stuff on eBay.
Otherwise, out of stock everywhere, but here are a couple more places to keep checking for stock:
FrozenCPU (Has e-mail notification option)
Amazon
EDIT: Nevermind, the one person selling it on ebay is charging like $46 for shipping...
The H220-X is also a good cooler.
