That sounds terrible to say, but for people that keep up with what's going on, that's a positive sign.

Yeah it's a tough draw.

The Stro's big problem last year was in the midsummer months. We were a game under .500 at the end of may, and then completely tanked June & July and half of August. If we can avoid major droughts like that this year, we could get out of the triple digits.

Very true. Personally, I could give a damn about our W/L record this year and next year. I just want to see the young guys round into form.

If we're going to compete in 3-4 years, we've got to have some kind of a foundation established with those young guys.

Nope. Gonna be back with the family in Baton Rouge for Easter. I'll be at the Saturday & Sunday games vs. Oakland the following weekend though.

Opening Day was a bucket list item for me, so I went last year vs. Colorado. It was fun, but it's not worth it to pay triple the price for a ticket when I could just wait one day and get it at regular value.

ETA: Plus, I don't wanna miss the Astros' first appearance ever on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

At least batting practice will be fun to watch Carter, Pena, Maxwell and Ankiel go at it when they start launching them.

Awesome, I got some tickets for the Friday exhibition against the Cubbies.

I was able to do this when the Cubs came to town a few years ago to open the season. I want to say it was 2009. I was online the second tickets went on sale, so was able to get em for face. I bet my wife and dad that Alfonso Soriano would launch the first pitch of the season for a homerun from Roy Oswalt. The first pitch was over his head. The second pitch was strike, that he launched off the train tracks. CSB

I'm a part of the Astros fan focus group this year.

I get free admission to every Tuesday home game as long as I attend the focus group meeting an hour before first pitch.

Don't worry guys...I'll be lobbying for cheaper beer and tickets for yall.

The outfield is really promising this year. We've also got a mix of interesting pitchers this year. It's hit or miss.

I myself, was not a fan of dumping Lowrie. I liked him alot, but the truth of the matter is that even though he's still under club control, we werent' going to be able to afford him after that...so that being said, I'm happy that we got Carter and Peacock for him.

More questions... are they on a network this year? Did the FSNO mix things up?

Lee retire?

They won't be on Fox Sports Network anymore. There's a new deal and a shite heap of controversy over moving to Comcast Sports Network. I'd recommend googling it because it's too much to explain.

Carlos Lee? We got rid of him last year. Traded him to Miami. I know Miami cut his lazy arse, but I don't know if he officially retired.

I'll take that trade all day. Sure, he's a decent player, but be real. He'll play half the year.

She's right.

There has to be some sort of middle ground somewhere. Instead of this pouting over each other not agreeing to terms, they need to do something here.

Both sides have reasonable arguments. Both side seem to be standing their ground pretty well. So there's obviously not much ground to be made with them not talking. Someone needs to make a move.
