I've read more than enough studies showing dredging barely keeps up with the losses. And costs a ton.
As people of LA we have thrived due to channeling the Mississippi. Now we are feeling the impact. We are going to have to sacrifice somewhere.

Probably nothing should be done. If we get the sea level rise that is predicted, any thing built by dredging or diversion, will be submerged.
