Hard to convince recruits to come and play for an awful team. The state of the team and program is something that recruits care about.

Becoming less and less true every year, especially in basketball.

The #1 pg in the country just signed with SMU. Consensus top 20 players signed with teams like unlv and seton hall. But yea, go ahead and keep living in your alternate universe.

How can anyone not say that his first year wasn't far beyond expectations......

Exceedingly easily. No significant improvement from previous year's record. No postseason at all when previous season ended in NIT. Anyone that says that is "exceptionally well" and "far beyond expectations" needs to examine the possibility of raising their expectations and stop settling for mediocrity.

You aren't exactly new to td.... I assume you realize this is the only thread available where it hasn't been a shite show.

Do us all a favor, complain on the rant.

To go with your other point, let me know when the blue bloods and top programs aren't dominating recruiting.

All 3 of those programs are in better states than LSU was in 2012. I don't see how 15% of top 20 recruits going to good not great schools is a solid argument for your position.

This is just insane. The team had much worse talent and LSU was picked 11th in the SEC. The fact they ended .500 in the SEC (which was an improvement over the previous year) was a miracle.

And that'll be last reply about this.
