Houston has more opportunities.

Depends on GPA and what you're trying to do. O&G high GPA can hit $90k+. Average is probably close to $70k+ in plant/chemical/O&G. Overall average is a just a bit lower. I'd expect you to see in the 70s-80s in about any ME job offer.

55K - 80K is possible depending on co-ops and location.

The lower end of that being more common of course. A good O&G co-op for a few summers can move right in to 75K+ after graduation. Houston of course seems to be the main area for the higher end salaries.

I started in Aerospace right out of school at 60K with no co-ops.

I would say 60k average. A lot of oil service companies are going to be around this, but you get a good raise and car allowance and stuff after you get through you "training" period. I made very meh grades and couldn't get the 90k jobs that people just assume they will get out of school. After 2 1/2 years, I'm now at a comparable salary.
