I have no idea when it tripped, but its all still cold I don't know what to do.
Burgers and sausage. Eat or no? Doesn't smell bad

So you are having a party tonight? Eat, drink, and be merry

So you think it's okay to eat venison that hasn't been frozen for who knows how long, but still cold?

That's my only test, but adult immune systems are a little better than kids and old people. It's up to you.

You could make a trip to BR, and I will test it for you. I can make that sacrifice

That sucks but it sounds like you caught it before it all went to shite.
Bossflossjr wasn't so lucky a year of so ago though. I remember him being bummed about that until hunting season started back.

Meat can be spoiled long before it ever starts to smell. Spoilage bacteria cannot multiply at below freezing temperatures, they multiply faster as the temperature increases. Spoilage bacteria can multiply at pretty much any temperature above freezing. Combine increased temperature and long enough time and you're fricked. Not knowing how long the freezer has been out is a key point here. The spices and salt in the sausage are good preservatives and will keep it fresher a little longer. Burger meat is sketchy to begin with. If you decide to keep it, like someone else said do not feed it to kids.

I´d cook something now but wouldn´t refreeze it.

This happened to me a while ago. Food was still cold. Just turned freezer back on. Everything was fine.

I would make some batches of chili, spaghetti, etc and freeze with the ground meat.
Sausage is prob ok
Fish.....needs cooked or chunked
Steaks and roasts, I'd be careful, but I'm pretty cautious with the whole not wanting to be shitting thru a screen door thingy.

I wouldnt eat it. When power went out for hurricanes stuff stayed frozen for days. So it musta been off for a while. You arent gonna smell decay unless its really far gone. Just my 2 cents.

If the food is bad, you get the shits, normally when you get the shits, its so loose that one could either shite further than they can piss, shite through a screen door, or shite further than they can piss through a screen door.
