Used bay boat: What could I get with a budget of $25k-$30k

Would be used to run to last island/lower terrebonne as well as redfishing the marsh (note necessarily in 6" water, just in lakes, etc...).
Would like something 4-5 years old or newer in the 21'-22' range, 175+hp, four stroke maybe.
Would this be in that price range or shooting too high?

Anything you get in that price range should be solid.

You will find some badass boats in great condition for that. People are puking them up.

Just go to the classified section on louisianasportsman.com. select boats, then center console on the drop-down. Plenty to choose from.

Like someone said, get ready to see a lot of nice boats.

I'm actually surprised by these responses. I thought I would be way over-shooting for that budget. I started this thread after just breifly searching boattrader.com with "bay" as a key word, 2007-2010, and length 21-23 and the boats that came up were either out of that price range, really underpowered, or both!
I had also searched "pathfinder" and the only two that came up were in Florida and they wre $40k+.
Thanks for yall help.

Call Shannon at GulfSouth Yacht works in Slidell. Saw some nice used ones on the yard last weekend driving by.

Poochie, You're doing it wrong.
From the home page search click preowned, leave next two blank, then for length put in 21-24 ft, and under key word put in pathfinder. Set distance from zip to any. Will bring up a bunch.
Do this for whatever make interests you.

21' = 225hp
22' = 250hp
24' = 300hp
whatever you buy... make sure the above is met. with that budget, worst thing you could do is buy an underpowered rig

Are you just looking for advice on good used brands, or could you find a boat and post it up for critique? I suggest doing the latter and looking on CL, LA sportsman, and THT classifieds. Boat trader aggravates me.
Also, pick up a boats, bikes, and RVs at the gas station next time

Yeah, I'm not finding boattrader that useful. LA Sportsman has a lot of boats but isn't that easy to search. I can make do, though.
I'm not looking to move on anything in the near future; this will be a multi-month ordeal that could take as long as a year or more. Just looking to get the ball rolling. Would like to have a new boat by next fishing season.
I'm in no rush because I currently have a boat to use, I just want an upgrade because it seems like every time we take it out, something breaks (and I know it's like that with every boat but the last several times I've taken it out, it either broke down completely or would shut down while running). We take care of it, but it's just old and has a lot of bugs in its systems. Being stranded 10+ miles from civilization is not something I want to deal with again!

PANGA! PANGA! PANGA! PANGA!
I love me some Panga.
You can go in 3-4's in the morning and 6" of water in the afternoon. One of the most versatile boats out there.
There are some good used ones down in FL. Craigslist Orlando and Tampa for a few weeks and you will find yourself a good boat for a great price.
Panga 22' Boca Grande

I'm going to buy a panga in the next couple of years, sooner if the right deal surfaces, but it'll be an Andros. I expect a full upgrade to the 22' foot model, Bonefish, soon. Gonna cost me...

Man, I wanted one so darn bad. I just couldn't justify the extra $8k to my wife.
To me, that is one of the ultimate boats for a Louisiana fisherman. There are so many conditions I want to fish in and that's one of the few boats that can really handle them all.
Maybe in 10 years...
Here's a good one on THT -
