Has anyone heard any more information about the arrest of Ricky Jefferson prior to his commitment to LSU? Things sure got quiet after CLM said he "just found about about it" a couple of weeks ago. Just wondering...

Who cares? If he gets booted, does it really matter? One player isn't going to impact that recruiting class anyway.

Well that's one way to look at it.
Nobody make a thread about a recruit that's not in the Top 10 of the class because he isn't important anyway.

We had freshman DBs with accolades, we were ok without him. It wasn't just him that left the team but several. Pinning it solely on him is stupid. We lost a top 5 CB, Brooks, Mathieu, and probably the most underrated player on defense in Taylor. Plus we lost our DB coach. Oh yea, we lost a 1st round DT too. Which yes, matters for a secondary. Mills/Collins played very well for freshman in the SEC. One received All-SEC accolades. One player doesn't make a team.

Nothing has happened yet legally. When the incident happened, he was a secondary figure,a bystander/watcher,but ,when the first 2 young men began cussing the officer and then the 3rd started throwing punches and fighting the policeman, that's when Jefferson joined in cussing AND throwing punches too. That is a serious issue. Hitting a policeman and then running away resisting arrest is his problem. No court date yet and no real arrest into jail. This has been on about 3 Sports Websites,no big secret anymore. It happened about 4 days before signing day with LSU. So it has been attempted to low key the situation I believe. We'll see soon what happens.

Thanks for the response, Tupelo Tiger. I was asking a legitimate question, but some posters on here only know how to give flippant comments...which is a sure sign their intelligence is somewhere below genius level...way below.

Dont expect a whole lot to happen in public eye anyway. He was only charged with a misdemeanor. Charges may get reduced or dropped. What I would expect is a "come to Jesus mtg with the LSU staff" after all the crap JJ went through. I am sure with the competitive recruiting world we are in now that LSU will cut him loose if he continues to find himself in the wrong situations andthey can replace him in the class with someone else. Cutrer is looking for a spot...
