Same here. Watching it live I was like "man this storyline sucks. This place is stupid", but shotgunning episodes now it's a lot more manageable. And I mean it does serve a purpose, being a "safe place" where MIB can't get to. I do still think it was kind of fillerish to have these weird characters like Dogen that have supposedly been here for a while that we see for like 7 episodes then they're gone. What the hell have those people been doing in the temple for decades?

seems to me that if I were going to create a world around me, I'd probably make it a happy existence
