Right, Bregman is 5 out of 5 this year in stolen base attempts. It's all about getting a good jump off the pitcher and feeling comfortable getting an extra step or two on your lead. Also, PM isn't a huge base stealing guy anyway right? He likes to lay more bunts down. I would love to see some hit and runs with Bregman and Laird until Laird can improve his ability to get a great jump on the pitcher. Bregman has proven he has the ability to handle the bat well and can hit the ball the other way. Putting that runner in motion is going to open up more holes and get guys out of position while Bregman swings away.

I'm all for this too, especially as well as Bregman and Rhymes handle the bat. They won't leave him out to dry and maybe that is what he needs to get his confidence on the bases up.
