It's for an LSU marketing course. I'm in the class and I think the OP didn't explain the project well enough.
It's basically a campaign to garner more acceptance of the name and start the process of getting the name ingrained in the New Orleans lexicon.

If I were the Pelicans, I would tie the entire team to coastal restoration. I would focus on exactly why the pelican name is symbolic to Louisiana.
I would also make it a point to use LOCAL talent for halftime. I don't want to see the run of the mill crap. Give me rebirth, Kermit, etc. get anselmo involved, get anyone with NOLA ties involved.
I would also do a better job of getting the celebrities out. LA games are a who is who. We have a ton of celebrities living here, and even more visiting constantly. Do whatever it takes to get as many A listers court side.
