if the parent were capable of changing his behavior I'd root for that. but that's really not an option IMO
because of that it will be better for the rest of the participants (children and parents) if the child fails

Your cheering has no effect on the outcome. So why not cheer against the grown adult?

so if one kid can help the team win, and the parent knows it...it would be better for the rest of the team (and parents) if that "special" kid didn't play? Even if they lost?
