here's what led up to it for those who don't know... Canada's catcher, Robinson, did 2 pretty dangerous slides into 2nd earlier in the game... 1 to break up a double play... the other on a late throw to 2nd which also broke up a double play... but was a legit slide to try to beat out the throw
so Mexico wanted to get Robinson... problem is in the top of the 9th... he surprised them all by bunting on the 1st pitch and reached 1st
next batter took an inside pitch... and you could see something was brewing... 2nd pitch came inside and the ump warned both sides... then the bean ball and it was on
