Steve Ensminger's role on staff

I'm sure this has come up many times but what is exactly does this guy bring to the coaching staff. He is never listed as the lead recruiter on a prospect, and tight ends have been nothing but run blockers for years.

Richard Dickson aside, when has LSU relied on a tight end under Miles?

I am sure I will get crushed for this, but from what I am told, he is one of the best at breaking down game film. Just what I have heard. And he does help out in recruiting as well. Maybe not a major player, but behind the scenes.

Whenever someone has the role of a TE's coach it means that while he coaches the TE's he is also the 2nd OLine coach. It's a way to have 2 OLine coaches. The TE coach obviously coaches his guys but he is also the 2nd reinforcement behind the OLine coach. Hope this clears it up for you.

Ad nauseum

Other duties perhaps?

A product of the offensive scheme?
I don't think you will get a coherent answer from this board since none of them are on the coaching staff and have no idea as to precisely what goes on inside of it.

His wife must be spreading this rumor

It's a small miracle that none of the usual suspects has popped in with the moronic BBQ joke. Yet.

Sorry.
Since this isn't your first post on this topic, and since you apparently have some sort of ax to grind I refuse to play your little troll game.
Oh yes.......... Have a great day.

So you don't want to know what his role on the staff, you just started this thread so you can complain about something you don't know.

just curious about what others thought about the position. Every other coach has seemed to receive lots of praise and/or criticism over the miles era. He just seems to fly under the radar.

I definitely think that the lack of tight end production is more of a les/offensive coordinator problem. And of course the qb play the last few years has had a lot to do with it. Its not like the tight ends coach can force the head coach to throw to them.

I thought Ensminger and his wife divorced years ago and that's how his son magically appearedwith Daddy in West Monroe in time for football season.

not so sure about that. I've read that he's actually been somewhat of a sideline QB coach. that seems plausible seeing as how QB coaching really seems to be his background.
insert telling Jarrett Lee to call TO at AU pic here.

He recruited a 5 star, a 4 star, and a 3 star for this signing class. You need to change your post to "I didn't know he was ever listed as a lead recruiter until I started this thread."
