Hopefully this leads to a deep south MLS team...

Hopefully they'll put it in an area that's not nearly as athletic and explosive.

I don't live in the city of Atlanta (but I am a proud ITP resident), but I recognize that taxes on taxis and hotel rooms have an impact, however minor, on me. That impact isn't that great, however.

the video is on but all they are doing is standing around doing nothing. It would be nice to wait until they are ready to announce their information before activating the video.

From the ajc article I gathered that they are sticking with the plan to stay in the same general area.

yup just announced a new stadium in downtown
Posted on 3/7/13 at 1:40 pm to beaver
So they're building a new stadium in the hood, yet they're still gonna keep the dome?
Posted on 3/7/13 at 1:44 pm to USMC Gators
They're investing a lot of money in some of those areas that are already on their way to being gentrified. This could be a good thing.

And I believe that's a load of bs from Blank. See NOLA.
well they're not NOLA...

Its going to take a lot of money and a lot of years to take South Downtown back from the hood.

People ITP aren't getting tax raped either. The two hundred million that the city is contributing is coming from the hotel/motel tax.

lol the first caller to talk about the stadium on the local sports radio: "Well there ain't no new stadium gonna get me to go to a Falcons game in no crime-ridden area I tell you what."

The terms to be announced today also call for an equal opportunity plan that will ensure at least 31 percent participation in design and construction by women and minority business enterprises.
There goes some under the table money from Mayor Reed.
