He doesn't need a pass cause Spiderman 3 isn't as bad as you guys make it out to be.

I could perhaps see them forcing Catwoman on him though, even though it turned out great.

Catwoman being in the film had everything to do with his brother.

I have never been more disgusted in watching a highly anticipated film outside of Batman and Robin. I remember sitting there in disbelief.

Agreed. This has to be the most disappointed I have been going into a movie. I almost walked out during the emo dancing scene, but was holding out hope. And then the Sandman ended up being a "nice guy" and just flew away.

dude wrote a whole long post on why Raimi tanking was awesome and he respected him for it, and it turns out it was just a massive assumption he was making

Emo Peter Parker and the Dancing scene

Peter Parker was emo before there was such thing as emo. That's what I don't get about this complaint. the appeal of Peter Parker was always he was an underdog loser in real life, pining away for the things he couldn't have. Spider-Man wasn't even wish fulfillment, it was just another responsibility, in a life full of them.

and the dance scene is perhaps the best part of the movie. The real problem is too many villains, an incoherent plot, and let's face it... Venom. Venom is a great comic book character, but a space alien who slowly takes over Parker's uniform is not something that translates to the big screen.

I like Raimi, but I think he just had too many balls in the air and didn't know how to please everybody.
