Do what you think is best for you, but I wouldnt do that. Obtaining Experience and connections will serve you well. Sounds like you already have one with your GF's Father. Use it.

Not trying to get too personal but what's your plan for the future? Just wondering if you were to settle down with a family would you still be in the field? Or would you try to do something else?
