Went to the game last night, and not only was I disappointed in the result, but the game as a whole was just terrible. My girlfriend comes with me to about 90% of the games I go to. She doesn't know a ton about soccer, but she is learning. During the first half she kept mentioning how poor both teams looked and how the ball was in the air way more than the ground. I was proud of her for her observation, because she was absolutely right. For a game between 2 of the tops teams in the MLS, that was not a good soccer game. Both teams just launched the ball and made hard fouls pretty much the entire game. Right when I realized I was watching a Stoke vs Stoke match, SKC scores on a damn throw-in.
The streak had to end sometime, I guess. I'm glad it was to a good team. I just don't know why we played so poorly last night. It's like we are in bizarro world. Dominating win on the road, then confusing loss at home.

Houston's only change to their starting XI from Wednesday was Ricardo Clark. I wouldn't be too hard on the guys.
