You don't like Robert Woods? Dude was a top 5 pick. Then all of a sudden because his teammate gets the numbers, he drops completely out of the first round? I don't understand how this works.

Screw drafting defense. Even if we take defensive players in the first round our D will still suck. It's not like Cam Jordan and Patrick Robinson have lit the world on fire. I would love Patterson. Brees would destroy defenses even more with a freak athlete like Patterson. He is a deep threat and a nightmare in the open field.

I would take Patterson in a heartbeat. Drew needs a dynamic reciever like him. I would rather build the defense through free agency with proven players instead unproven draft picks. Unless Mingo is still there at 15

no. I've seen enough Tennessee WR's on the Saints over the years.

Denarius Moore would be 2x Meachem with Brees throwing to him

God damn. Would a fricking comma or period just be too much work? I haven't seen a run-on sentence this long since my son's 2nd grade social studies fair.

I could see us going WR if it was some can't miss type prospect who inexplicably dropped. Plugging in a young wr with the talent of an AJ green or Julio to help the offense roll even more consistently would likely help the team win more games in the immediate future than gambling on which young pass rusher makes the best NFL transition. With that being said... Patterson is in no way this. He's basically the best WR by default.

Combine Report
Patterson displayed today some of the same concerns that we had with him during film study. He was choppy in and out of his breaks, and did not display fluidity on his routes. Throughout his workout, he let the ball get into his body and struggled to catch the ball cleanly. Early in the workout he caught the ball extremely well, but as the workout went on he dropped some passes he should easily have caught. As expected, he ran extremely well (unofficial 4.37 40), but he is far from a polished product, despite being so highly regarded in some circles. **More concerning is that we heard that Patterson has been very unimpressive in interviews, which will likely lead to him sliding down draft boards

That guy looks like an idiot. He ran a couple of his route tree routes wrong in drills (broke at the wrong yard line twice by 5 yards each time).
No thanks.
ETA:
Meachem 2.0 and we don't have time for that.
