Good, they deserve to, hope they learned a lesson. It was nice to see the Athletic Department get it stuck to them, after bending fans over as much as they do.
It wasn't really LSUs fault. More so the SEC. They were lobbying hard to get UGA into a BCS game after their performance against Bama. I know this for a fact. It also didn't help that TAM had everyone talking about them and JFF. It was a royal screw job by the SEC.

What made my laugh is the people that argued we would get screwed on bowl selection if we didn't travel well going to Atlanta.
The facts are these:
We get screwed, in part, because the SEC believes that LSU will roll over on it and our fans will sell out anything. We proved that not true.
We get screwed very often in terms of bowl selection, so traveling well does not seem to have helped us.
If we can finish T-SEC 3 and go SEC 6, there is nothing we can do in terms of traveling that will make them not screw us.
I, for one, am glad that fans didn't take it on the chin. They didn't want to go to see a matchup that was inequitably foisted on them. Good for them.

I don't know if all mega tigers are poor.
I do know however that out of all the times LSU has played football in the ga dome since nick Saban was coach till today I've missed twice.... 2 months ago being one o the two.
So GFY.

I bought one fri night, poured some bourbon in it , suddenly then I wasn't so unhappy it cost 4 bucks.
Poured it right down my throat.
You just not doing it right.

We get screwed
If we don't allow Bama to go 75 yds on us in the last min, we don't open ourselves up to "get screwed".

Your logic is if it is impossible for us to be screwed we won't. That doesn't do anything for the 99% of time when LSU will be in position to be screwed. Also, we let them go 75 yards so we "got screwed."

We complain a whole hell of a lot bout getting screwed for a program with 3 BCSCG appearances, 4 SECCG appearances, 10 bowl games, and 6 Top 8 national rankings in the last 10 yrs.
Not saying it doesn't happen, but its not something we need to worry bout.
Hey, we play Flor every yr while Bama gets Tenn. Chit happens, but nothing for LSU to cry bout considering the fact we are 107-25 in the last 10 yrs which tops all BCS programs.
All I'm saying.

Totally agree, McGrath. Besides my season tickets I will not order tickets through LSU anymore. After sitting in the HIGHEST row at the last Cotton Bowl I will just order through other sites. I will gladly pay a premium for decent seats. To heck with the shitty seats LSU gets!
As far as the Chi-fila bowl, I had no interest after watching our team play after the Alabama loss. I am not a nega-tiger but it was painful to watch!

I went using Stubhub tix, and I am not ashamed of it. I had high sideline tickets, which my wife appreciated more than she would have if we spent triple to get low end-zone.
Most schools lose money on bowls, because they are a racket. The "payout" includes the obligation for the school to buy the allotment from that payout. The ADs & coaches like it because attending a bowl game is an objective show of success. That's why we have such nonsense as the Beef-O-Brady's St Petersburg Bowl, which is played in what is considered the worst MLB stadium (just think of how bad the Trop is for football).
So, we lost some money. We would probably lose money in most SEC tie-in games. In the long run, it's not a big deal. The program will still pull a profit by the end of the year.

I will never buy tickets to a non BCS bowl again thru LSU. I spent over $500 on capital one bowl tickets against Penn State when people were handing out free tickets outside the stadium. I will still go and support my tigers but I refuse to pay those inflated costs for an exhibition game.

Sadder thing is that was the first LSU bowl game I have ever attended. Career military (over thirty years) and that was the first time I have managed to schedule it so I could go.
Posted on 2/19/13 at 8:22 pm to Wolfhound45
LSU easily had more than 20,000 fans at the game, the thing is most of us, me included, bought tickets on stub hub that were better seats and cheaper than buying it through lsu

So let me get this straight. LSU really had no control over where the SEC placed us. So to show our displeasure to the SEC we refuse to support our AD and instead buy tix through indirect sources. In doing so we hurt our own University. And all you tards claim to love LSU? Give me a break.

I support LSU in lots of ways with my wallet, but if I can get a better bowl seat from another venue...I'm gonna dang well do it.
And I'm saying that as a guy who has gotten bowl tickets via LSU before and sat in the endzone bout 3 rows from the bottom.
As to Joe, as long as he makes a winning LM happy and keeps our programs winning...I'm happy with him.

Don't listen to that. You have the right to spend your money however you want to. Nobody knows your financial situation and if you don't want to buy bowl tickets from LSU that's your business.
