As I said, the frames are marked 1945. The frame. Many of the 1911's the marines like force recon us will see 10,000 to 15000 round per deployment for training. It adds up.
Also, slides, barrels, and other parts will remain in service for a while but they are not serial numbered so its hard to tell their round counts.
