I think the problem is that when he was the best player in the league he was on an awful team and conducted himself like a raging a-hole
And it was very debatable. Duncan, Dirk, Wade and LeBron all had legit arguments as the best during that time (say 2005 to 2010).

The very fact that you think Kobe is close to Lebron is hilarious to me.

Prime Shaq >>>> everybody including Jordan

Notice how Shaq didn't become "unstoppable" until all the great centers from the late 80s and 90s were retired/over the hill. Notice how Lebron is being compared to the GOAT. Shaq on the other hand is not.

Shaq in his 3rd year in the NBA at 22 years old got a good but not great Magic team to the NBA Finals beating Jordan along the way then putting up 28 points 13 rebounds and 6 assist vs Hakeem Olajuwan who at the time was the best center in the NBA.

And he promptly got swept by the best center of all time. You know, a guy that actually won a championship with Otis Thorpe as the second best player on his team.

Shaq had a GREAT series. You have a poor argument here.
Shaq was dominant from day 1

Yes 22 year old Shaq wasn't good enough to beat a superior Houston team by himself

Shaq all day, although Lebron is a beast right now. Holy shite there are some stupid fricking posts in this thread. Par for the course on this board though.

With today's rules, it's LeBron-- mostly for his ability to bring the ball up, and not be dependent on having the ball given to him inside of 15 feet.
They are both great answers, but for this particular question, it has to be LeBron.

I'm a huge LBJ fan but Shaq made it look to easy. Bron does to but with Shaq it was unfair for the league to try and defend him. Nobody could stop him from getting to the rim and he did it from inside the paint not at a running start like Bron.

Prime Lebron every time. Bron can do it all, shaq couldn't do everything by himself. Just like Kobe couldn't and still can't do everything by his self.
