I understand the need to add the two additional teams; but I'm not sure about the first round (Games 1-4), the Semi-finals (Games 16-17) being single elimination when the rest of the tourney (except the Champ. Game - I understand why that is single elimination) is double elimination.

When you first look at it, your thoughts are all like...

But then we you read about it and see that the top seeds get to coast if they win their first game you end up like...

I don't like the fact that 4 teams are going to go home on Tuesday. One and done in a baseball tournament is a silly notion.

I don't. If you can't make the top 8, maybe you don't deserve to make the tournament? This isn't 6 year old tee-ball.

Pretty much the worst tourney setup of all time. Adding 2 teams to 10 was a solid idea. Adding two more to 12 is not so solid of an idea.

Generally speaking the SEC is going to get 7-9 teams in the NCAA postseason. This should be the focus. Having a 10 team double-elim tourney gives those teams 7-10 a chance to play at least 2 games and show the committee they can play with the top of the conference, ergo the top 64 of the country. Teams 11 & 12 have no post-season shot so it doesn't matter.
