I have seen it go for $2,200 a ton. So if you with the 6.5 tons your looking at $14,300.00

granted if you go for top of the line SEER (which will not give the paypack you think it will), you can see that kind of cost. Granted i get contractor rates, and bought a 5 ton, 13 SEER condenser/evaporator with gas heat for my parents for $2200 recently.
