Prayers From My Fellow OBers

Normally I don't this kind of thing, but given the circumstances and his love for the outdoors it feels appropriate. Today we laid to rest the greatest man I ever knew and the best hunting buddy a grandson could ask for.. Poppa taught me how to truly appreciate hunting and the joys of just being at the camp.. If anyone could take the time to say a little prayer for my family, especially my grandmother after having lost her companion of over 50 years, it would be greatly appreciated... Thanks all.... Oh boy if I could only have a dollar for every spike I've had to haul out of the woods for that ol man

Thanks all ... This man just truly loved deer hunting for what it was meant to be and loved nothing more than being out there... We used to get so tickled at him, he would kill the bull the of the woods that morning, and then go out that evening and come out with the prettiest little 4 point you ever laid your eyes on ... And I think it was a right of passage for all us grandsons that we'd have to claim at least one spike for Poppa when he made one of those "mistakes" he was prone to making ... My fondest memories are of him,my brother, dad and I at the camp and everything he and dad taught me about loving and appreciating the outdoors.. It was always fun going to the stand with poppa when I was little because Dad was on a strict "bucks only" rule whereas Poppa would just say "hell son, if you wanna shoot him bust his arse!" I killed my first deer in the stand with him and been obsessed ever since

Prayers sent for grandma. If you haven't done it yet it is time to name his favorite stand after the old man.

Prayers for your family. And make sure to stay away from men in black tanktops who want to rule the world in the name of long dead alien civilizations.

This is something great men do. When a family remembers a loved one like this to me it's the utmost honor. I just hope some day my kids and grand kids will feel the same way about me.
Prayers sent!
