I actually think 3-4 NT's can be more dominant in a 4-3. The Ravens did it back when they had Siragusa and I think Sam Adams. The problem with the Saints, and the reason their d-line looks so bad against the run, is because the OLB's have been embarrassingly bad players who shouldn't even be in the league, let alone starting games. If you noticed last year, once Hawthorne came back and Vilma was playing, the run defense and overall defense got much better.

oh yeah, I know what you mean, the lack of speed from the outside backers really hurt the Saints early on in the year.

they had a few games where they stopped the run pretty well towards the end of the year. When they shut out the Bucs and in the win over the Cowboys. But in the season finale against Carolina, we got gashed again. The Panthers averaged like 7 yards per carry that game
