Well then, Kobe will be the last , having done it multiple times

Maybe, but there are plenty of assumptions going on with that.

He already does. Durant ??? Maybe. BRON??? Naw. He had his chance in Cleveland. To many good players on the Heat for this to happen.

Prob so. I don't see a PURE scorer that can compare to Kobe.

Yeah like all the missed shots on Kobe's passes (and yes he passed, you KNOW I watched those games)?

Carmelo does not shoot as much as Kobe did during that stretch.

Yes. But I just don't think Mello could be as ON TARGET like that for 5 straight. Durant?? As I said ....MAYBE.

I was at the game in the arena when he scored 50 for the 4th in a row. He was unreal.
That being said, Durant is certainly capable of pulling it off. Carmelo certainly could be, as well. And if LeBron wanted to, I don't see why he couldn't. Just look at his shooting percentage. He does whatever he pleases.

Who will be the next player to average over 40ppg for an entire month?

I long for the days when gamecock would try to prove to me that matt schaub was better than ben roethlisbetger.

You left out he avg 35fga and 14fta a game. Lebron is avg 31ppg on 15fga and 9fta a game right now.
Lebron would average 65+ a game at his curent fg% if he shot it as much as Kobe did during that stretch.
Everybody brags on Pete Maravich for his scoring avg, but he shot 40+ times a game.

Yea but his FG% would drop if he played like that and everyone knew it was coming. Kobe did that with a sucky team and everyone prepared for HIM.
Also, per talking with people with actual NBA knowledge who knows these guys (in Nebraska in 2009) it takes ALOT of stamina to attack, attack, attack making one's shot slow fall short as the game progresses.
If there is one thing the players in the league state that separates Kobe from everyone else is that attacking energy.

I'm not going to get into a player vs player debate only because it never ends. Everyone will alway say their favorite player is the best regardless of the fact.
If you were to tell me that Kobe is one of the greatest players to ever play then I will most definitely agree with you.
I consider Kobe a high quantity player. Meaning a lot numbers come from high volumes of shots, minutes and etc.... But the quality (PER)of his overall play is lower then the other greats. Kobe is like Wonder Cuts, high quantity and low quality. A lot of customers but not that good a haircut.

It's like saying 30 points is better than 30, and not pointing out that it was 32 shot attempts compared to 10 shot attempts.

I'm sure you'll be in the locker room to comfort him/his cock if he doesn't break the record
