You can't really make Mett quick on his feet, that't not natural to him. What can be improved is his pocket presence and ability to sense the pressure from his blind side. He needs to work on that timer in his head and find his 2nd option quick.

To answer your question, I think there will be a huge improvement in Mett.

Give Mett some time and a pocket, he will be a very good quarterback in our system. 2013 is gonna be a good year for LSU Football.

Chances are, he was already going to have a better season since he has a full season under his belt. Isn't 1st to 2nd year always the biggest improvement?

Add CC into the mix and good things ahead.

I think Mett will be better on his own. Hopefully we can scheme around his slowness.

I don't understand why people think that Rivers is any better than Mett. Coming out of high school he was a project! I don't think he would pick up SEC defenses any better than Mett, have any better footwork, better arm, etc. His throwing motion was terrible just like his brothers.Mett has alot more upside IMO he just needs some better guidance/coaching along the way.He will get some garbage time this yr and get his chance to compete for the starting job next yr so will be see then but no way in hell he starts over a guy that has a full yr under his belt and had pretty good success for a first yr starter. Not happening!!!

Mett would have improved anyhow, IMO, but Cam should be able help his game performance by implementing a better offensive gameplan.

All Cam needs to do is give Mett an outlet (running back, tight end, crossing route) to give Mett an option if the Defense sends a blitz. The offense lacked that last year.
