I got a guy who wants to trade a nickel smith model 19 for my glock 23. What say you? Working on him getting me pics.
Why are you questioning this trade?
You can get a used Glock for around 200-300 bucks. If you want a Glock down the road, just buy another one.
357s are the shite. You don't have one and you want one.
A wheel gun is a work of art. A Glock is about as attractive as a wrench. It works, but it doesn't look pretty doing it.
You know you want it. Seal the deal bro.

Round counts on 357s are usually low. People don't tend to sit at the range and put 200 rounds down range due to cost and recoil, but there are other ways to get a revolver out of time. You just have to check it out. Contrary to what everyone likes to tell you, it's rare to see a firearm "shot out".
Value wise, you're looking at 550-600 in this market, I would think. (I am not a pro).

That's a good deal IMO. I paid $500 for a similar Model 66 revolver last year.

Good deal! Make sure to check the timing. If you don't know how to do so just let one of us know. I'm sure there are a few here that could explain it.

Looks like its got some years on it.
If it locks up tight and everything I wouldn't be scared of it though as long as it hasn't been fed 125s it's whole life.

He said its "dusty" and really only had 38s through it. I'm gonna check it out for sure.

You'll be able to tell pretty easily if its worth buying or not. If the cylinder doesn't feel sloppy it should be fine.

He assures me it's in good shape he said he got it second hand about 5 years ago put about 100 38s through it and its been in the closet since. Said it didn't have many rounds through it before he got it. Can't hurt to check it out.

A smith k frame has to be in pretty damn bad shape to be worth less than a used glock. Keep that in mind too.
Smiths hold their value very very well.

Needs a little cleaning up. Make sure the lockup is tight. That thing looks like a 66-1 with the pacs on it. 19-3 is P&R gun which holds a little more value to Smith guys.
