Traveling to an SEC Baseball Series

Thinking about trying to make a road baseball series this season. Any past experiences with this? I imagine most tickets will be in the $10-$20 range from the host ticket office, just wondering if anyone has any input on pre-ordering tickets and booking hotels. Doesn't seem like a hotel would be hard to find.

It all depends on which road series you pick. Hotels will not be a problem anywhere except Starkville and tickets are not a problem.

I've been to Alabama and Auburn a number of times. Just find out from the school when individual game tickets go on sale and get some them. Hotels aren't a problem although I know the weekend we play Alabama this year is the weekend of their spring game so hotels may be hard then.

We have gone to ole miss, auburn and bama. Have always just bought tickets through the opposing teams ticket office. No problems getting a hotel. Can usually even stay at the LSU team hotel.

Damn that one sounded like a good option. Went to A&M & Arky for football this year and would like to go somewhere different. Missouri would be a long arse trip, so that leaves Miss St and Bama.
I know there's a Hilton in Starkville so I had planned on checking that out. Wouldn't want to stay in Jackson since we'd be going to campus three times.

Ah, good point. Miss St and Bama are the only series I'd considered, so that is def something to think about.
Of course I'll plan on making the Omaha trip as well

How were those venues?

Unless things have changed, neither tickets nor hotels are problems in StarkVegas...Done the trip a couple of times. Boring drive but good trip

Auburn has a nice little stadium. Kind of small but real nice. Bama's stadium is horrible.

I've been to a lot of SEC baseball and never had a problem with hotels except for regionals. Most SEC schools are good venues. Apart from LSU I've enjoyed Miss St. the most I think(just for baseball.)

I know there's a Hilton in Starkville

A road for LSU baseball has also been on my bucket list for a while. Was thinking about going to Bama this year, especially since they're so bad.
Does LSU get an allotment of tickets to sell for road games?

No problem getting tickets to Bama, their park is as terrible as the support for the program.

Arkansas is always a nice trip (if it is a heck of a drive). Might be considered heresy on this board, but Baum Stadium is really on level par (and in some ways better) than the New Box.
Really fun trip.
Never made the trip to State, so I'm not sure there. Mizzou and A&M will be new this year and Bama is blech.

Dudy Nobel is one of the best baseball facilities in the country, the fans are second only to LSU fans in baseball knowledge and appreciation. Been there for weekend and midweek games. Tickets are usually available at the gate. Hotels in Starkville should be available, if not Columbus or West Point aren't very far of a drive. Great atmosphere for a baseball game. Highly recoomend it.

I think I'm gonna try for Missouri this year.

Nobody high fives teams who just beat them like LSU fans.

I've heard that the hotel situation in Starkville has improved greatly, so I was wrong about that probably.

Are we talking the stadiums or the overall experience?
