Kolby Morgan, jr at Curtis, scored 35 to lead her team to victory over Riverside. Not sure if we're recruiting her, but I can't imagine why we wouldn't be.

Little brother Kai, 8th grade, led all scorers in the boys game against Riverside and also collected 6 boards. I imagine he's on the radar for us as well.

In other recruit news not related to Malik Morgan's siblings, Jordan Cornish of Brother Martin went for 23 and 13 in a double OT loss to West Jeff.

Kolby Morgan and Tia Charles led the way as the Patriots defeated Riverside 65-50 to win the District 10-2A championship.
Morgan finished with 35 points and three steals and Charles added 21 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals for the Patriots.
“We had to push our fast breaks when we had them,” Morgan said. “We had to stop (Riverside forward Kendra Turner) on the inside too. Tia and I think alike on fast breaks. We know that the other person is always going to be right there to help you.”

Eighth grader Kai Morgan, who finished with a game-high 19 points and added six rebounds, led Curtis. Morgan had just finished watching his big sister Kolby score 35 points in the girls game just prior to the boys tipoff.
He said that added a little extra motivation to an already important game.
“I just knew I had to come with it too,” he said. “If (the girls) won, then we had to go out and win too. We had to give the crowd a good performance.”

Kai Morgan must be really really good to lead all scorers in a game against Riverside. Riverside is stupid good.

Did anyone read about the U-High/Episcopal game. Skylar Mays with a 60 foot shot with a second left when U-High was down by one for the win.
Damn, bet that place went nuts.

Richard Durant is a good player I saw him last year at the state championship game and Riverside couldn't contain him at all

I saw that article. I almost put it in the OP, because I'm sure we'll be recruiting someone on that UHigh team in the future. Most of their starters are frosh if I'm not mistaken.
Just imagine if Bridgewater had stayed at Episcopal. 2A basketball is pretty legit this year.

Yeah 2A for both football and basketball is stacked. I think all three of those teams will be 3A next year if I'm not mistaken.

UHigh and Curtis will be. Riverside stayed in 2A and I believe Episcopal did as well, not sure.

From what I've read, the younger one, Skyler, is like 6'1." He's only a freshman and is a pure PG pass first guy.

I believe he is the one at Episcopal though.

I think people are confusing the Mays kids with Wayne Sims' son.

What's the scouting report on Cornish? Excellent outside shooter? Good leaping ability?
