Just so we're clear while we're talking Les vs Bobby --- the winningest coach in CFB history --- there is a reason Bowden wanted no part of FSU joining the SEC.

This statement had me wondering about that whole thing?? Didn't BB have a bunch of wins forfeited.. if he did my local guy E. Robinson might still be on top....

Bobby took a teachers college to the pinnacle of colege football. Les took over a top rated program, the future will show if he kept it there.

Numerous Grambling officials spoke about former Grambling football coach Eddie Robinson's legacy Monday after Robinson again became the winningest football coach in Division I history after former Penn State coach Joe Paterno had 111 wins vacated by NCAA sanctions.

Robinson finished his 57-season career at Grambling in 1997 with 408 wins. Before the NCAA sanctions, Paterno had 409, the last coming a week before the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal broke.
