Tell that to the last 10 years of the comic. Seriously GL has been the most consistent book in comics for 10 years.

And Green Lantern isn't "gritty"

Correct. But that's why Atrocitus is there.
Have really enjoyed GL over the past few years.

I was referring more to Stewart, who is a bit more gritty.

And comic book sales mean pretty much nothing when you are talking about making money at the box office. You have to sell it to the current movie going audience, not the fans. The comic fans would probably make up 30-40% at best of what they would need from an audience to make a successful movie in Hollywood terms.

I'm not saying I dislike GL, hell I like GL and would go see Wonder Woman or Aquaman done right. It;s just a really tough sell to a normal audience.
