Have to admit, I thought they were done and would fall apart.

KG was a monster tonight with 27 pts, 10 boards.

I don't know how high they can move up in the East, but I'm sure the Heat and Knicks wouldn't be too thrilled with a matchup vs Boston in the 1st round of the playoffs.

They are winning because KG is being more selfish.

Don't they have a slightly higher winning percentage with him out since they drafted him?

They have better ball movement. Rondo is the most selfish passer in the league. He covets assists. He is not willing to make the pass before the assist.

Rondo is still a very good player, but he is among the most overrated.

Right after the injury Stan Van Gundy came out and said they would be better without him. Said they would be better defensively and and the ball would move more.

He said Rondo was a "selfish unselfish" player. Meaning, he racks up assist numbers, but only his own numbers. He's out there looking for stats.

I am amazed that Stan was not picked up right away to coach. He is definitely than a couple of the coaches out there. Honestly, I like both Van Gundys.

much better ball movement without rondo hogging the damn ball waiting til 5 seconds on the clock to make a move. Now we are hurting without Sully's rebounding. We need a good big who can rebound to take sully's place now.

They already have one. They need to play Fab Melo and see what they have.

They are better without Rondo. With that being said, they are still going to lose in the first round.

What are the bad matchups for them? Bulls because of their frontcourt. Heat because they don't wanna see them early. And to a slightly less extent, the Pacers.

The Pacers and Bulls are similar, but I don't think Boston wants to see Miami or Chicago the most out of anyone in the East early.

The Knicks have been impressive yes. But is Boston really scared of them? Eh... I'm not so sure that even if Boston faced the Knicks or Pacers, that it wouldn't go to 7 games.

The master of having a great game when the Celtics are on TV. But when he has a shitty game no one cares. He scored single digits in 42% of the games last season and some people still had the audacity to list him as a top 10 player.

He did show a lot of improvement this season however.

Not at the caliber we need. You clearly do not know much about my team or watch any games. Fabulous melo is VERY VERY raw. D league does not= The Association with the big boys.

he played some the other night. he is NOT a good rebounder right now and has stiff hands. he also was lost on defensive rotations. maybe in a couple years he will pan out. we will see. we need a proven big NOW to come in and help KG.

pay no mind to the bandwagon cheat fan and lebron blower.

rondo would probably help us in the playoffs when things slow down(always has in the past). right now we are fine without him. losing sully will hurt us more than anything in the playoffs. unless we can get a big to take his place. we MIGHT be ok without rajon but we must have a capable big. if not forget it the older guys will burn out.

Wonder if New Orleans would be interested in trading for Jason Smith. He is third string and a very capable big man.

Smith's on a $2.5m contract, which is a great value for a guy like him.

I don't see the Hornets trading him for anyone the Celtics have on the roster, nor do I see the Celtics dealing a late 1st for him. Even then, the Celtics would need to send back roughly $2.2m to $2.7m in salaries because they're far enough over the cap.

Unless someone else gets involved to provide other pieces, I don't see it happening.
