I know this would be difficult to do but has there been any thoughts on voting out the consensus bad recipes?
It's a great book and I've printed and bound a copy for the house but it seems like it's just getting bigger and bigger.

Who's going to decide which recipes are bad? Some may like a recipe and some may not. Just like any cookbook.
I say leave it alone and you could actually copy only those recipes you want and print those, couldn't you?

It says it couldn't read the document when I try.
When I tried on my other computer, it would download then give me an error.
