He runs a pro-style offense which is our MO. Why change our whole identity when we don't even have the talent to run a spread offense?
Why do you people think the spread is a bad thing and the read option is the only spread offense?
There are different variations of the spread offense. Bama has run some spread each of the last few years and they have 3 NC's to show for it.
Also, you people do realize that we only have non-mobile Mett for 1 more year right? Our OC needs to have a well balanced offense as well as be able to work with the talent we have.
The landscape of football is changing and we better get with it. If it's good enough for the NFL, then it's good enough for CFB.
I know it may not last forever in either league, but why not ride the wave a little bit. I don't want to run a full spread offense, but it would be nice to be able to change our gameplan to get a leg up on the opponent.

Spread is for teams with lesser talent. Big boys play smash mouth.
Saints had 3 Pro-Bowler's on their OL with a Top 10 rushing attack and a bananas passing game running all-vert's and a VERY similar-to-the-spread varietal offense in 2009.
They won the Super Bowl that year.
Florida ran Spread and won two national titles.
Redskins made the playoffs running Spread. 49'ers were in the Super Bowl running a lot of Pistol concept with some sprint-zone-read misdirection packages inside the red-zone.
Please stop with the uninformed drivel, Bro.

Facts are useless against this bunch. You mention Spread and people start thinking June Jones in Hawaii or Boise State/Nevada on ESPN's Thursday Night Football.
Spread has won national championships in the SEC. Spread has won national championships in the Big XII. Spread has won ACC & PAC-12 Championships. The latter conference's champion played for a national championship running Spread.
...and yet some of those teams were mainly running, some of those teams were mainly passing, and some of those teams ran a very well balanced, blended offense.
Oh, and before I hear anymore drivel like some others, Miles envisioned JJ9 running a very Oklahoma-like blended Spread offense. As far back as 2007, we experimented heavily. In 2009, we tried to. But JJ9's career-long "Failure To Launch" life imitating art routine completely jacked that up.
But make no mistake, we DEFINITELY wanted to run Spread concepts. We hired an OL & a WR Coach from that background.
But you can't fix stupid here. Tard's gonna Tard.

I heard there was a HUGE potato salad debacle at the last BBQ...Miles sent for Cam's receipe and it won hands down! Stud was bumped back down to handling the beans...

He's better than anything we have had in 6 years.

And, that spread beat us this year and has given us problems each of the last few years. We withstand it usually, but why can't we be a team that puts up some of those numbers?
That 8 yard run and clouds of dust or whatever someone mentioned earlier is why we can't put up numbers. We have to be able to be more dynamic which we help that running game we have close out games.

Running some spread, does not equal running a spread offense. Nobody would call bama's offense a spread offense.

He is perfect fit if LSU and CLM want to win 60% of their games. Check his overall record as a coach, its not much.

We really have the dumbest fans
And a brand new dummy at that, 30 posts........ these new recruits suck as bad as the vets

I'm amazed by the stupidity of some of our fans. Well, maybe not that amazed. Cam Cameron is one of the winningest OCs in nfl history. 60% is insanely good in the nfl. He credited as having a major roll in developing both Drew Bress and Joe Flacco and you idiots think this would be a bad hire? This would be a huge hire and would give LSU not just one of the best college OCs, but one of the best OCs in all of football.

was very successful at San Diego. He also played a role in developing Brees while there
And to all the naysayers talking about he didn't run Ray Rice...
I think that LaDanian Tomlinson liked his run/pass balance, no?

No sht. It would be nice to have the ability to do if we needed to, instead of not wanting to run it at all some of our fans keep saying.
