That is correct, which is much different from your statement, "An employer can't do this."
An employer CAN refuse the two weeks notice and terminate the employee immediately. It happens all the time.

Ok thanks for the correction on the verbiage I used. This is not something that happens "all the time". If that happens all the time then you must work for some real assholes.
