ok my last help request with my new job

accepted the offer and everything is good.

i start on the 18th but i still have my current job and havent told anyone.

heres what im thinking and let me know what you think. please note that this is a direct competitor of ours

i really want to milk as much $$ as i can out of my current employer so im thinking i will work all of this week AND next week and tell my boss the truth next friday knowing that their will be no way they will want me to stay and cut me loose next friday. i will give a written two weeks notice as well as a verbal but best case scenerio is they cut me loose and pay me two weeks. worse case scenerio is they honor my two weeks and i start my new job the following monday and have to tell them i need to quit asap. (i highly doubt this will happen because im going to a direct competitor and ive known 4 people do the same over my years and all of them were asked to leave that day)


that way i wont be out any days pay and will be happy. i can earn this weeks pay and next weeks and start on new salary at new job the following Monday. What say you
