Didn't VC win like 4 WNBA titles?
Because there was like 4 teams in the WNBA at the time and Houston got the 3 of the top 6-7 players.

Seemed like a good hire at the time.
It was the definition of a short term solution.

It's a final.............
LSU 57
TAMU 74
In the end, this team just plain old ran out of gas. We've already commented on the difference in athleticism between the two teams. But one thing that was a glaring difference was how the players looked. TAMU's players were lean and muscular, and most of LSU's player's bodies, other than Webb, look soft. Ironically, when Pokey was coaching, our players looked like TAMU's do now. So, that's one thing Nikki is going to have to stress in the off season.
I'm encouraged by Ballard AND Baker (even though she didn't get a lot of playing time). They are the future of our backcourt right there (along with Moncrief, who's coming in next season). In the post, Plaisance is good but should probably not be playing center. She's going to have a hard time against any of the bigger centers on the top teams. She's good but probably should be playing at the 4 spot instead of the 5. If they can get Youngblood to lose weight like Bone for TAMU has (Bone used to be as big as Youngblood), she could be a good defensive center.
I hate seeing us lose, but again we all need to remember that this is a REBUILDING year.Additionally, we're thin on the bench with only 10 total players. Anything we do or get this season is basically just gravy. We're going to have to be patient.
Up next..........................Tennessee on Thursday.

What's scary is moncrief is better then Ballard, we also bring in a top 3 juco player in Laquinta Jefferson, she is like a lasondra Barret. We don't have any depth, Lutley needs to sit for a while, each game she is now getting worse.

I'm not sure that Moncrief is actually BETTER than Ballard, but she's another dynamic player. Ballard was actually one of the best point guard prospects in the nation but, her rating fell somewhat because she had disciplinary problems her senior year. But, I have a feeling Moncrief will be coming off the bench next season....................especially with Jefferson coming in.
As I'd said before. We're rebuilding. The team next season will be a top 25 team. The season after that the sky is the limit. We'll have five scholarships to give.

This might be a dumb question but I'll ask it anyways. What happened to Anne Pederson? Is she hurt or is she simply not good enough to play?

I thought LSU looked pretty good minus the bad passing. They stayed closer than most teams against the Aggies this year. Both teams are young and I see this being a great rivalry.

Van killed this program in all honesty. We have to completely rebuild everything.
We need another Semoine TBH.

LSU got Pokey Chatman'd tonight.

I hate losing but the team showed a lot of promise last night. We're just not quite there yet. Here's the writeup from the Advocate........
Aggies over the Lady Tigers
