Reed sr year was when Saban first came in The U was an easy choice over LSU at that time.

Reed graduated High School in 1997. He won the National QB Challenge but didn't even play much QB in High School

Not a chance in Hell they would ever consider LSU, even if we were winning ten NC's in a row.

Gotcha. I've only been out here a few years, still learning where everything used to be.

Marquise Hill changed it all in NOLA!

nola has been one of the most overrated hot beds for us in football.

honestly we've missed on some of the best players from the area. mainly because LSU doesn't recruit the public schools like it should .

Jocoby Jones ran track.

I don't remember him at SLU and I went to most of the home games. Seems like we could have used him. Wonder what happened.

Hal Mumme suggested Jones go out for track instead of football at Southeastern.

I would loved to have had Marshall Faulk at LSU. That dude was an animal even at San Diego St. Explosive runner and a very good receiver. He is all class and one of my all time favorites. Very smart player as well.

definitely. Hope having Frank Wilson prevents what happened in the 90's from ever happening again...
