You don't have to, but I would much like to dip my toe in the Batman pool.
BTW, thoroughly enjoyed killin zahmbies. We'll need to do that again.

I actually played City first. I found it very enjoyable, but I wish I understood the fighting system earier into my playing.
Once I figured out the cues and how to keep the combos going I became pretty unbeatable.
I've probably put more hours into the riddler combat challenges than the campaign.
Playing Asylum second actually probably saved me. The linear feel got tedious at times, but I understood the payoff after having played City.

The consensus was AC>>>AA. You do Batman things in both games.

You really are getting senile if you expected anything less. For GB standards, this thread is about as OT as you can get.

Why wouldn't he start with Batman? You act like a Batman fan, yet you have a comment like this when someone wants to play the game? You definitely aren't in the Batclub, son!

How is Batman in any way similar to GTA?
I've never played Batman and thought "wow, this is just like GTA with a Batman suit"

I think he's referring to the open world sand box style that City has, which is marginally like the GTA games.

It's more like Metroid Prime than GTA.

Batman AA and AC are VERY different than GTA, Assassin's Creed or Saint's Row.
GTA is an open world game that usually takes place out doors and revolves around stealing vehicles and (mediocre) gun combat.
Saints Row is a direct competitor to GTA but amped up to ludicrous proportions with over the top action set pieces.
Assassin's Creed, shares SOME similarities but it has a terrible, convoluted story and also primarily takes place out doors. The elements it shares with B:AA & B:AC are all better done in the Batman games.
If anything Batman is a marriage of a Metroid game, where you are acquiring new gadgets that allow you accesses new areas, and a Splinter Cell game with it's stealth. Biggest difference there is that Batman's stealth is actually FUN.
But maybe the best reason to play the Batman games over those others is that B:AA and B:AC have frickin' Batman.

Asylum was always very meh to me but Arkham City is one of the best games I've ever played.

Maybe because 75% of this board are "adults" and are anti-batman. Sarcasm was a part of my statement as well.
Plus, i bet i got you beat on the number of times i saw tdkr in theaters. So dont start with me on not being in the batclub.
