Yes, It's the way to go. I have a NFA trust and I have my wife, dad, father in law, and a couple friends in it. If they aren't in the trust, they can't legally shoot the gun or even be in possession of it.

Well this is what I learned from the OB today cause I thought Trusts were only for money.
And wick, as soon as I quickly read through that thread on trusts I GTFO. I could read ALL day on there and god knows all I DON'T need is another forum.

You can let whoever you want shoot the gun.
It the possession part and you not being present thats illegal. No one else other than yourself can possess the item. They can shoot it all they want if you are there.
For all your class 3 questions/trust stuff, the lawyer to go to is Terry Knister or Mouthpiece on bayoushooter.

I have a trust as well and what you just said was wrong. Non trustees can shoot your class 3 items. They just cannot be in possession of them without you being present.
OP, a trust is the way to go. It protects you and others listed in the trust. Also, it's much easier to get class 3 items.

This. You don't have to get the chief LEO of your parish to sign off on your application with a trust.

That is the guy who I used. Great guy and very easy to work with. I will not post his business here but give him a call or email him and he can answer any and all questions you have.
