update on job interview

so i had my third interview with my direct competitor today and they offered me what i wanted and i accepted.
so my start date isnt for three weeks because thats when their new hire orientation starts so i basically have between now and late Feb to be at my current job.
new boss said he doesnt care what i do between now and then as long as i show up on day 1.
so my options are:
1. give notice this week and have them either accept two weeks notice(which they've never done) or they let me walk that day(probably Friday)
2. I work one more week and then give notice next friday and take one week off with no pay
3. work up until the friday before my new companys start date and milk every last dollar out of current job and give them notice that friday
im leaning towards option 3 because everyone ive known who has left was given until the end of that current week. what i dont know is if they paid them for the full two weeks or vacation pay. i really cant afford to just take a one or two week vacation and not have a paycheck until the new job starts.
What do you think MT board?

Well, certain professions or jobs with access to sensitive information lend themselves to immediate resignations instead of the customary two weeks. If you are certain yours is one then #3 seems fine. However, it would be really shitty if you gave them two weeks notice only to tell them you gotta go immediately if they accept that. I'd lean to #2. Also, is your job at all commission based?

Will you need their reference in the future?

Does a lapse in health insurance come into play here?

do you have any vacation saved up that they will pay out to supplement a week's pay?
