But please, let's try to reserve our judgement for matches that matter
USA 3 - A&B 1 - Deemed by all to be an ugly, lackluster result against a terrible team.
USA 1 - Guatemala 1 - WHOOPS - Looked like dog shite again.
USA 1 - Jamaica 2 - WHOOPS - Gave Jamaica their first result EVER against the US.
USA 1 - Jamaica 0 - WOOHOO - We scored a goal! We squeaked by Jamaica at home!
USA 2 - A&B 1 - Rescued a win against a (barely) USL team in stoppage time.
USA 3 - Guatemala 1 - Yay. We beat somebody.
In the midst of trying not to qualify for the World Cup, the best American player ever has walked away from the game, and Jurgen has done everything in his power to ostracize our best goal scorer (Jozy) AND the most creative player the US has ever had (Dempsey.)
It's all good, though because we have Kyle Beckerman and some black German kids.
Like I said up thread, go ahead and start lining up the excuses for losing next week.

Glad my habit of recusing myself when the two National Sides play each other worked out for the best

Some spaces started to open up but by then we were playing bob ball and nobody really gave a shite anymore.
If we were playing "bob ball", we probably would have won. That's what "bob ball" did. It got results.

so we bring in feilhaber who lets be honest will never make any significant contribution the the national team.
The guy who stepped in for a suspended Michael Bradley in the Confederations Cup Final and played a pretty damned good game against Brazil? The guy who was two steps ahead of everyone else on the field last night? That guy?

Trying not to overreact to that shitshow last night but here are my thoughts:
- GAM didn't seem to have his legs under him for some reason. Seemed tired pretty early on
- Wondo needs to put the ball on goal with the few chances he got in the first half
- Beckerman actually played a good defensive game which is what you want out of him with this squad
- Feilhaber clearly provided some creativity and a spark. His decision to lay off that last free kick to Bedoya or whoever it was was awful though
- Juan drew fouls in dangerous areas which was good
- Gonzo and Besler played well passing from the back. I would have liked to see Canada attack a little more so we could see them in defense as well
- I like Gatt's energy but he needs to link up better with his teammates. Having Morrow out there did not help him though but he needs to realize this isn't FIFA on amatuer level - you're not going to dribble past 6 guys

Yeah, puff is way off here. Feilhaber was by far our best looking player last night. His passing was excellent and he really opened the game in a way that no one else did.

I don't understand Klinsmann at times. CONCACAF isn't pretty teams. I think Klinsmann would do better against free flowing teams. However, I think his roster choices are bizarre at times. He says that he will not call up people that aren't playing, aren't making significant contributions to the team. He even uses Landon Donovan as an example but then calls up Alejandro Bedoya.

I sort of disagree. Of course, I have zero faith that Jurgen can (or will) harness what he can bring to a game.
DaMarcus Beasley and pre-2007ish Landon Donovan had pretty damn good careers for both club and country by primarily running past or around people. Landon developed other skills, Beasley didn't (probably due to injury.)
But they still did a lot just by being able to run past people. That ability has its place in the game.

Don't get me wrong, I love his speed and his ability to beat a man off the dribble. I just think he tried to do a little too much at times last night (but I can look past that as he was actually trying to make something happen out there instead of passing back). Whether that was all him or who he was playing with (like I said I dont think Morrow overlapped him once) or a little of both is what I'm not sure of.

He did, but GATT kept ignoring him.

I'm just saying that I don't think he will be significant for this team going forward. Personal opinion. Sorry for shitting on the guy

I don't disagree, but it has less to do with what Feilhaber does well, and more to do with having ZERO confidence in the coaching staff:
A. Being able to even identify what it is he does well
B. If, by some miracle, back into what his skill set is, being able to apply it effectively in a game situation
C. Combine A or B with players that are complementary.
