That team was dreadful. If that's what's behind our A team then yikes.

I don't even want to begin to evaluate that match.

lol. I'm sorry but these players just aren't good. They SHOULD be better, but aren't. We have a good few pieces on this team mixed with just players that need to be refined.

Take Gatt for instance. Talented kid but needs work. Agudelo is talented but needs to be refined. Brad Davis/Brad Evans/GAM/Beckerdreads should've done better than that. Bedoya playing time is drastically reduced.

I've always complained that the US has a leadership problem as well. I don't know if this squad had a strong leader, as well.

OK first of all these are all MLS players playing a friendly in the middle of their off season. I don't care that they had 3 weeks of training... Training is NOT the same as playing an actual game.

This match was the equivalent of an MLS pre season match. To try to look further than this is pure folly.

Then why was Brad fricking Davis starting?

Short term fix. See if he can contribute to depth. In which we don't have much

What happened to the MLS helping the national team? I remember in 2002, our whole team was like 70% MLS stars and we went to the quarterfinals.

They still should've been better against a young Canada team, IMO.

Possession without purpose is meaningless Jurgen. Spain can afford to trot out 6 center mids because those guys know how to make incisive movements and passes.

Our guys don't. Our guys are fast, athletic and now decently skillful. Bob Bradley understood that. Jurgen thinks that 60 back passes equates to attacking football.

He had three weeks to prepare a team to take on a horrible Canada side and the best chance we get is an Omar Gonzalez header on a free kick.

Brilliant

MLS seems to be purposely stalling his development.

Because he sucks.

No, those two are past-it journeymen who need to stay away from the USMNT.

Would you expect an NFL team to come out and play to their peak in a July exhibition match?

MLS is doing just fine. If you look at our starters, most of them started in MLS. You are reading way too much into a friendly.

If that is our Gold Cup squad than they will be in the middle of the MLS season. They won't look like they did tonight.

OK, I agree. This match was disappointing from a fan standpoint. But please, let's try to reserve our judgement for matches that matter.

We have Honduras next week. Lets wait and see.

Do you realize those Canadian players were MLS and fresh from college as well? Only difference is they are a degree worse than our talent.

Our squad was absolute shite for the time and talent we put on the field, I think due more to Jurgen's choices but still.
