post Sr Bowl-Spags firing-scheme change edition
always plenty of trades but those are futile to predict. So with no trading...
KC Joeckel OT TexAM- sticking with him as BPA that you can build around
JAX Jarvis Jones GA- high impact looking, medical issues bigger concern than performance
OAK Lotulelei DT Utah- Seymour out and this Ngata looking freak in
PHI Eric Fisher OT Cent Mich- on the rise stock meets glaring need
DET Bjoern Werner DE Fla St- plenty of needs like Saints, take the best defensive player on the board
CLEV Damontre Moore TxAM- BPA again, Milliner a possibility too
AZ Geno Smith QB WV- I go QB here unless they get a free agent. Could just as well be Tyler wilson or Barkley since none stands too much above the others
BUF Matt Barkley QB USC- they've stated that Fitz is not their guy long term. Much as AZ, go QB if they grade high enough
NYJ Dion Jordan ORE- premier 3-4OLB pass rusher fits dire need. Could be CB is Revis is traded
TEN Manti Teo LB ND- a lot of possibilities for a lot of needs here. I go Teo & Gregg Williams to Tenn to stir up some controversy
MIA Keenan Allen WR Cal- a great fit for need and the top WR playmaker this year
TB Dee Milliner CB Ala- good value meets big hole on TB defense
CARO Sheldon Richardson DT Mizzou- glaring need. Hankins DT Ohio St just as easily here
SAINTS
Good pool to choose from- NTs Jenkins or Hankins, Mingo or Montgomery, OT Lane Johnson if LT isn't filled before the draft. I've dropped Ansah as a #15. Wildcard possibility could be CB Banks or Rhodes, or Texas safety Vacarro. If they don't count Bunkley as the NT guy I go Hankins or Jenkins. I think Bunkley fills NT. So I go Mingo here. Between him, Tez, & Juneyah there's gotta be a 3-4OLB 10+sacker
Sunday Trivia:
Name the LSU player drafted highest by the Saints alltime.
9 LSU players drafted by the Saints alltime. How many can you name?
The fun is if you don't use any reference resources

I really do hope we grab Mingo now that were a 3-4, the potential is there to be an star pass rusher.

You really think Mingo drops to 15? I don't see it but hope you're right.

Name 1 teams that wouldn't want Sam or KiKi.
I would LOVE KiKi, he has crazy speed of the edge

5 LSUers so far
Devery 2004 #50---- the highest Tiger drafted by the Saints
Martin 1985 #179
Hilliard 1986 #31
Al Woods 2010 #123
Hokie 1981 #249
final 4 are tough, I'll give ya two ancient ones- Tom Morel WR 1969 #267 and Steve Rogers RB 1975 #163
Last two clues-
1989 DB #106 3 NFL seasons no Saints contribution
1997 TE #165 1 NFL catch lifetime

Is Bret becht (sp?) from 1997?

After what Ansah did in the senior bowl, he's almost a lock to go top 15. He was by far the best player on the field. It was supposed to be the games that he struggled in, and his stock would be helped at the combine. If he works out as expected, I think he'll go top 10, ahead of Jordan and Mingo

Savoie it is, final one is mike mayes

I hope Ansah does go top 15...to someone else. Bring on Mingo! This would be incredible

I hope that we trade up a few spots and get ansai. He will give us the pass rush that we need.
