Is Bret becht (sp?) from 1997?
Jenkins' skill is that he's a pretty good tackler. He's frequently out of position but he seems to always make the tackle if be gets ahold of someone. That's somewhat rare for a defensive back these days.
Texans completely revamped their defense in one offseason 2010-2011. It can be done.
So you hate all Katy kids then. Me too (except for my little angel of course)
I'd say if your limits are Katy, Einsteins is the closest thing you'll find to local smoky dive bar, but duvic's it ain't. I've never been there on a big college football night though, so not sure if they'd even show the game.
Orleans on Katy freeway will no doubt be packed w tigers, but it's mostly a restaurant and smoke free
The waitresses are smooookin hawt if that helps....

Not sure if you just moved here from la, but in general Texas is way less tolerant of smokers. Einsteins and baker street allow smoking but no one would mistake them for sports bars.
But Katy is loaded with Louisiana transplants so you could go almost anywhere and find a group of tigers (or saints on Sundays)
Stadia is the best sports bar in katy, but it's smoke free if that matters to you

Bet that sucks for their wives to have to know. That they'd rather work or die than spend time with them?

Its not a matter of not wanting to spend time with them. My father died shortly after his retirement because he essentially lost his purpose in life. Working to support his family was just what he did. Take that away from him and I think he saw himself as just a burden to us.

He said it too

“What else would I do?” he said when quizzed about retirement. “I don’t want to die. Football keeps me alive.”

RIP Joe
You made a mistake that will always be an asterix and should be

If the smug sanctimonious douchebags on this site can accomplish 1 tenth of one percent of the good you did then this world would be a much better place
yep, I was thinking the same thing, if I never see it again I will always cherish it.

A coworker is a indy fan and he was going on this morning about the 49er game last week shutting up us saints fans.
"Man 62 points and Tracey Porter still giving you nightmares, huh"
He didn't say much after that.
yeah my assumption is that he had an audible to throw if it looked like the saints were in a D to stop the QB sneak.
What also drove me nuts during that game is that it was pretty obvious Smith only had one or 2 reads, and so much of the time his first read was so wide open it wasn't even an issue.
The issue is that big blitzing is high risk/high reward. When it works it looks spectacular and when it misses it looks spectacularly awful. If we play straight defense or overload the other side on the smith sneak he is dropped for a loss and maybe they miss the longer figgie and Espn is still going on about wtf was harbaugh thinking??

For those of us that knew of the saints before the SP era, its hard for us to adjust to the idea that our coach and GM are competent.
We'll come around....eventually. Until then we will still have nightmares about Ditka in a tux and RW in a wedding dress.
He retweeted this morning that Carmichael did in fact interview in Oak

AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
RT @DashMan18: So did the Raiders interview Carmichael or not? ... Sure did. Friday, no matter what some say. Expected to talk more.

It was a whole team loss.

I agree. Was just letting the OP know that TD ST conventional wisdom is that the turnovers didnt matter.
You're being to reasonable and applying logic to the situation. G Williams threw 2 pics and personally caused 3 fumbles.
you may want to check other threads on this site. Clearly turnovers don't matter. at all.

SF showed how to play great defense in today's NFL. With the rules favoring the offense there is no way you're stopping guys like Brees, Brady, Rodgers, etc every time. You have to make their life uncomfortable, tackle well, make drives stall, and create a few opportunities to get turnovers.

This

The 2 worst defenses in the league this year are the #1 seeds in both divisions. No need to play lights out. Just disrupt things and get turnovers. Kinda like us in 2009
if we dont have the 5 turnovers we aren't even in that position.

Coming roaring back is a testament to how good this team was. But there is a reason teams in multiple turnover games don't have good results.
That makes me sick more than the last 3 minutes.
