There have been quite a few posts like this on the OT. With all the information coming out, it's not being a wimp to consider this. Broken bones or a knee injury is one thing. Long term cognitive disability is another. And some of the research indicates the younger the person is, the more vulnerable they are to it.

Do you realize that presidents have been doing this since 1906? Teddy Roosevelt questioned the safety of football, and that resulted in the introduction of helmets and a regulatory body that would become known as the NCAA.
In other words, concerns about the safety of football are not new, but rather renewed.
