I can guarantee he is a legit 6'9. If you want proof I will post it.
He's taller than my husband, who's 6'8". I've seen them side-by-side.
Just wanted to point out a couple of things that have helped JOB improve and finally get a bit more aggressive.
His injuries definitely affected his play, both physically and mentally, of course. But I've always thought he didn't seem to understand his own strength and size. Didn't know how to use it.
Odoh has challenged him in practice, and Anthony Hickey has been relentless on motivating him. Hickey has demanded stuff from JOB, and the high screen play they run. Anthony understands to try to get the ball to Johnny in the paint as much as possible if JOB's not doubled teamed. Last night was an example. Anthony's shot was off last night, and he saw how well Johnny was doing and set up the offense so that he, and the other players, fed JOB night long.

good second year college player....not good pro prospect without another year....maybe 2. undrafted this year for sure.

Right now, late 2nd round to undrafted, if he keeps throwing at least half his games left double doubles...then early 2nd.

Tasmin Mitchell 2.0. Low draft grades every year but a heck of a college player.

If he comes out = undrafted
He's getting better every game. He is going to be ALL SEC first team. His upside makes him at least a mid second round pick....I think if he comes back it would help his stock

They're not the same kind of player at all but I agree with that. Hopefully he's a stud the next two seasons for us.

I will say there is a 50% chance he's here next year and a 0% chance he's here for his senior year.
He is nothing like Taz, he had some NBA draft pub before this as a fringe 2nd round/FA type of pick, now that he has gone on this run and continues it his stock will just continue to rise.

One more year, with coaching and a better supporting cast, then his game could improve significantly. But he needs one more year at a chance to make the big bucks that comes in the first room.

Im not saying he plays like him. Just how you guys are talking he is. I remember people saying Taz will be a first rounder easily. His stock in the NBA is like Josh McRoberts. It aint gonna be any better. Possibly late second after his senior year.

Taz was simply too short, he was more of a 4 than 3 really and at the 4 he was too short. He was like 6'5.
O'Bryant III is a legit 6'8-6'9 and is putting up double doubles with ease right now. Guarantee you there's no way he stays beyond his junior year and if he keeps his current pace up, will be a tough sell to stay for 1 more year here.

JOB is way more athletic than Taz. Taz was great, but his size and athleticism hurt his draft stock. In the right situation, I think Taz could play with the big boys. I agree that an improved JOB with one more year under his belt might sneak into the first round.

I think JOB would be an early second round draft pick based on potential. Nobody thought Hamilton would get drafted as high as he did either.
